PS: Guess I should mention I am running 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04. But I was just wondering if anyone got any form of Fidelity's Active Trader Pro working in Linux (app or web based)? I guess it is not a real big deal because I had ThinkOrSwim from way back before it was bought by TD Ameritrade, and I can get real time stock and option data and charts using ThinkOrSwim in Ubuntu (as long as I have Oracle Java 8) to see what to trade when at Fidelity. I do use playonlinux for Windows-only Steam related things like the Hammer game level editor. I tried using playonlinux for firefox with Silverlight, but firefox refuses to use Silverlight because it is a vulnerable version, but playonlinux is missing something to update Silverlight, so that does not work. But the Active Trader Pro app is Windows only and the web version requires MS Silverlight, but I have never gotten pipelight to work for anything Silverlight related, not even the test site that pipelight suggests (it wants to install moonlight). That gave me 300 free trades and access to their Active Trader Pro. ![]() Due to a job loss and unknown investment options/expenses if my 401k moved to an IRA at that trustee, I transferred my 401k to my IRA at Fidelity.
